Seafarers Medical
Seafarers Medical includes all the necessary teat, samples, and certificates to work at sea. The Seafarer certificate is a health declaration that shows your employer that you are healthy enough to work and that your health does not pose a risk. The certificate is comprehensive and mandatory for everyone working at sea.
Offshore certificate
Everyone working at an oil platform or rig in the petroleum industry needs to have an approved health certificate. This certification can only be approved by a doctor who specializes in offshore medicine, also known as a petroleum doctor. This doctor will check that you are in good health and are suitable to work on a platform without posing a danger to your own or others' health and safety.
Los
Loser and losaspiranter need a valid health certificate from a seafarer doctor to work. The health demand for a los is similar to the demand for a seafarer. However, there are some differences due to a los unique working conditions. The certificate is also there to check that you are healthy and are not a danger to your own to others' health and safety.
Driver license
If you are a professional driver and need a driving license for emergency vehicles or heavier vehicles such as lorries and buses, an approved health certificate is also required.
Lesuire boat skipper
If you are applying for a certificate to become a leisure boat skipper you need to provide a health certificate that meets the demands. The demands include vision, color vision, and hearing.
OEUK
We also provide an OGUK certificate for workers in the British sector. This is a mandatory certificate if you want to work in the UK sector.
Do you need a health certificate?
If you work in the Norwegian maritime sector you will need an approved certificate from a seafarer doctor. The certificate will document that you are in good health and fit to work at a ship. The health evaluation is valid for two years before you need a renewal (one year If you are under 18 years).
You will also need an offshore certificate to work on a platform or rig with petroleum activities. This will also need to be renewed every two years.
